Scope of Work
Mid-City was selected as the electrical contractor for the AEP Transmission Project in New Albany, Ohio. At this construction site, our electricians worked alongside the project team to create a 196,000 square-foot, two-wing office space to accommodate 650 cubicles and 50 offices. The new space, which pursues LEED Certification, provides its 700 employees a variety of impressive amenities, including a full-service cafeteria, gym, locker room, car charging stations, as well as a conference center, several breakrooms, and meeting space. As the project’s electrical contractor, our scope of work included all site work, power, lighting, fire alarm, data and security rough-in, and temperature control wiring. The energy-saving lighting system supports the Owner’s goal of achieving LEED certification, as lighting is controlled by the amount of natural light that the building receives, allowing the occupants to use less energy during peak sunlight hours. It’s a truly sophisticated system.
