As the end of 2024 approaches, we find ourselves reflecting on an incredible journey and preparing to say farewell to a remarkable leader, colleague, and friend. After a decade of exceptional service, Bill Brethel, our Vice President of Operations, is retiring from Mid-City Electric.

Bill joined Mid-City Electric in 2014, bringing with him extensive experience in the construction industry. During his 26 years with a national construction manager, Bill held a variety of roles that provided him with a valuable and fresh perspective. This diverse background has been a tremendous asset to the Mid-City team, shaping our operations and driving our success.

Currently, Bill provides oversight for Mid-City's project management, estimating, purchasing, and safety teams. His leadership has been pivotal in fostering the growth of the company and its talent. His ability to see the big picture while meticulously managing the details has been a cornerstone of his success and a driving force behind the company’s accomplishments.

Under Bill’s guidance, Mid-City successfully navigated numerous challenges, completed groundbreaking projects, and expanded its footprint in the construction industry. His dedication to cultivating strong relationships both inside and outside of the company will undoubtedly be one of his enduring legacies.

As Bill steps into retirement at the end of December, we celebrate not only his professional contributions but also the friendships and memories he’s created during his time here. While we will deeply miss his leadership and presence, we are excited for him as he embarks on this new chapter of life—one filled with well-deserved rest, adventure, and time with family.

Thanks for everything, Bill!
