Scope of Work

Amgen is a multi-national pharmaceutical company with a presence in approximately 100 countries. Their focus is on six therapeutic areas, which include cardiovascular disease, oncology, bone health, neuroscience, nephrology, and inflammation. This new 270,000 sq. ft. packaging facility has a total of seven packaging lines, that will receive and package medicines manufactured in facilities located in California, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and various locations throughout Europe. The facility also includes cold storage rooms, warehouse and office space, a cafeteria, labs, and a fitness center.

As the electrical and teledata contractor, Mid-City installed 281,169 feet of conduit, 843,507 feet of wire, approximately 4,500 light fixtures, (3) 1750kW Generators, and fire alarm, including Vesda Air Sampling System and FIKE Emergency Power Shutdown Management. Our technologies team collaborated with several partners to install 80,000 feet of fiber and 680,000 feet of Cat6A cable. This initiative involved the complete establishment of six technology rooms and two data centers, integrating various specialized systems such as Access Control, CCTV surveillance, Emergency Response Radio Systems, as well as Sound Masking and Audio/Visual components.
